From software to real estate
I came to Canada from Türkiye, and I studied computer science, earning both a bachelor's and a master's degree. For years I worked as a software engineer.
In 2019 I started investing in real estate, and it changed how I saw the work. I learned the market from the buyer's side, with my own money on the line. More than that, I saw how much a good real estate decision can change a person's life. I felt that in my own life, and I wanted to have that kind of impact for other people. Software never gave me that feeling.
So in 2023 I got my real estate licence, and in 2024 I was named Rookie of the Year. I still use my tech background every day. It's a big part of how I work.
